Sleeping In Houston Airport(IAH): Best Place To Sleep In Houston Airport

Most of the seatings at IAH airport have armrests and the airport is usually not good for overnight sleepers. However, there are some seating and places available where still you can spend overnight.

Terminals C & D are the two best options for sleeping overnight as these two terminals remain unused and quiet at night. Overall you will find good sleeping spots in the following areas.

  • Terminal A near the food court area some comfortable chairs can be found for comfortable sleeping.
  • Terminal A you can find some comfortable lounge chairs(more than 20) and use them to make a mini recliner seat for a comfortable feeling.
  • Terminal C baggage claim area(landside) remains quiet and comfortable overnight.  You may find some comfortable chairs near Carousel C7.
  • The airside area near gate D5 stays quiet at night.
  • Airside area gate D1 to D3 you can sleep on the carpeted nooks(hallway area). This area remains dark and quiet at night.
  • Near gate E22 some long-length booth seats can be found that you can use for makeshift beds.
  • gate E24 at Airside has a side nook with a carpeted floor where you can sleep quietly.
  • Terminal C near gate C5 you may find some little corners or sides where you can sleep on the floor area.
