Sleeping In Kona Airport
At Kona Airport, airport security won’t let you sleep in the airport terminal area. Instead, they will direct you to the small car rental facility located on the street from the airport. In the car rental facility, you will find some hard wooden benches for sleeping. Come prepared with a sleeping bag or mat if you want to sleep on the floor area. Note: You can sleep or rest at the Texaco Gas Station located 5 miles from the airport which stays open for 24 hours. It will cost you around $20 to get to the gas station from KOA Airport.
