Sleeping In SeaTac Airport | Where To Sleep In SEA Airport

Seattle Airport or Seatac has plenty of seating options available in the airport area. Many passengers stay overnight at this airport due to delayed flights or flight cancelation. You can sleep in Seatac Airport overnight on both landside and airside areas.

Sleeping In Seattle Airport – Best Place To Sleep In SeaTac Airport

Seattle Airport has plenty of seating facilities available on both landside and airside areas. In the landside areas, most of the seating has armrests. So in this area sleeping on the floors could be a good option if you do have a blanket, sleep mat or bag, sweater, hoodie etc with you. Overall you can find good sleeping spots at Seatac in the following areas:

  • Long padded benches are available near Concourse A, C & S of gates B6 &B8.
  • A Rest Zone is available near gate B4 where comfortable seats are available.
  • Quiet mediation room located on the second floor of the airport terminal(pre-security area) where you can sleep on comfortable seats(benches).
  • The children’s Play area located between Concourse A & B has some couches available.
  • Areas near gates N11 & N16 remain quiet at night. However bright light could be a problem. Near the gate 10 long chairs are available.
  • In the pre-security area checkpoints, 4 USO rooms have dark hallways where some chairs are available that can be put together for makeshift beds.
  • In security checkpoint 2 you will get some long S-shaped couches.
  • Near gate B7 some round-style benches are available for sleeping.
  • Near gates, A4 & A5 few metal benches are available and can be used for some sleep.
  • Near gate D some quiet places are available behind benches where sleeping on the floor is possible.
  • Near the gate D24 carpeted floor is available behind branches where you can sleep if you have a sleeping bag or mats and blankets.
  • Gate D23 & D24 have clean floors available for floor sleeping. Gate D23(new) has some armrest-free benches available.
  • Near the baggage claim area, some foam seating is available for sleeping. The area is noisy.

Note: Try to avoid areas of gate C9 & gate C17 as these two have constant sound from TVs. Also, concourse C has less seating among all.

Seattle Airport Sleep Pods: Does Seattle Airport Have Sleeping Pods?

Seattle Airport does not have designated sleep pods installed in the terminal areas. So passengers who travel through SeaTac will have to rely on the airport benches, couches and floors for overnight sleeping.
