Built during World War World War II as Lagos International Airport, the airport was renamed to its current name in the 1970s to honor the fourth military ruler of Nigeria Murtala Muhammed. The LOS Airport has a total of two passenger terminals located at least one km apart, although both terminals share the same runways.
One terminal serves domestic flights and another one serves international flights. The airport’s overall quality is not good and there are complaints about poor facilities including broken air conditioning, less quality food sanitation and dirty bathrooms. Overall international terminal is modern and cleaner than the domestic terminal.
