Sleeping In Copenhagen Airport | Where To Sleep In CPH Airport

Copenhagen Airport(CPH) terminals stay open 24 hours a day. The CPH Airport is one of the most convenient airports in Europe for overnight sleepers who spend the night while waiting for their connecting flight or have a flight early in the morning or long layover passengers.

Throughout the airport terminal area(especially the airside or post-security area) many sleeping spots are available including nooks that are conducive to decent sleeping. Security and staff are also very cooperative with overnight sleepers at CPH Airport.

Sleeping In Copenhagen Airport

As Copenhagen Airport is one of the busiest airports in Europe, you should grab a sleeping spot before 11:00 pm otherwise other overnight sleepers may fill out your seat!  At this airport, you will find decent sleeping spots or options in the following areas:

  • In Terminal 3 near gate D1 you may find some bed-like seats where you can sleep easily.
  • Near gate C2 & C3 transfer area some couches are available in a low-lighting corner nook.
  • Padded benches can be found near gate C10.
  • Multiple padded leather benches and rounded padded seats are available in gates A18 to A34. The area is chilly and  a lot of light is available
  • Near gate D1 you may find some seating that is comfortable enough for sleeping.
  • Near gates A & B some quiet areas are available. Aside from global blue boots, many padded benches with one-sided walls are available.
  • Near gates C70 & D1 some comfortable chairs can be found.
  • Terminal 2 near gates A18 to A34 and toilets some padded seats without armrests are available. However, the seats may not be suitable for lying down as after every two seats an armrest/handle is available in most of the seating. These places are very quiet at night with little light. However, in these areas, you will find blue-colored padded benches to lie down comfortably!
  • Near the gate, A4 go upstairs where the silent lounge is located. In this place, you can rest quietly.
  • Near the information desk behind duty-free shopping at Central Area, you may find armrest-free benches to lie down.
  • Fully round-shaped padded tables are available right next to the tax-free shop passage area. If you stay here come prepared with a blanket or hoodie and earplugs or noise cancelation headphones.

Overall you have to find out the perfect spot for you quickly if you want to spend overnight at CPH Airport.  The airport gets cold at night. Bright light and constant announcements are other problems you will face while staying overnight at the terminals area. So, if you want an uninterrupted sleeping option, come prepared with a sleeping bag or mat or blanket, earplugs or noise canceling headphones or eyeshade, or bright light.
